Ecuadorian kids (little)

Little kids here are adorable.  Cute, playful, curious, full of life, they seem to have great relationships with their parents, especially moms, and older siblings, and are at ease in the community.  Everyone here seems to respond to kids, their own and others' -- their care seems a community responsibility.  What follows are some samples of what we've seen, surreptitiously taken.
The very young, and up to about two years or so, are almost always carried on ladies' backs via a blanket wrap.

Below are some cuties we saw at a daytime benefit concert in Cusco - lots of families, kids roaming and playing freely, singly and together.

Older siblings seem used to playing with their younger siblings and sibling's friends.
Kids enjoying Machu Picchu in their own way.
Families do most things together -- this tiny one was with mom and dad at a futbal game.
And here are some young ones seen in the Plaza de Armas, the main plaza here in Arequipa, where there are lots of pigeon for play and feeding.

Just sitting, waiting for the nap to end or the ride to come.

To follow - kids in Arequipa's Plaza de Armas on October 31st.
